Hey Queens! As we celebrate Women’s Equality Day, August 26, 2023, let's take a moment to focus on a topic that's still, unfortunately, shrouded in taboos and misconceptions: women's sexual health.

Sexuality is an important aspect of human life and it’s essential that women feel empowered to take control of their own sexuality. For so long, we’ve been taught to be passive and submissive in sexual relationships, but this approach can often lead to feelings of shame, guilt, and dissatisfaction. Here at Indulgēre, we encourage exploring ways to feel empowered in your sexual experiences.

Prioritize Communication: Effective communication is key to taking control of your sexuality. Women should feel empowered to communicate their needs and desires with their partners in a safe and consensual way. This can involve discussing sexual boundaries, exploring sexual fantasies, and expressing what feels good and what doesn't. By prioritizing communication, women can take control of their sexual experiences to ensure that their needs are being met.

Embrace Self-Exploration: Women should feel empowered to explore their own bodies and desires. Self-exploration can involve masturbation, experimenting with different sexual techniques, and discovering what feels good for you. By embracing self-exploration, women can gain a greater understanding of their own sexuality and better communicate their needs to their partners.

Reject Societal Expectations: Society has long perpetuated harmful gender stereotypes about women and sexuality. Women are often portrayed as passive and uninterested in sex, while men are viewed as the aggressive pursuers. Women should reject these stereotypes and embrace sex positivity on their own terms.

Prioritize Pleasure: Women should prioritize their own pleasure in sexual experiences. It is important that women communicate what they need for a healthy and satisfying sexual experience. This can involve experimenting with different sexual techniques, using sex toys, or exploring fantasies. By prioritizing pleasure, we can take control of our own sexual experiences.

Practice Safe Sex: Safe sex is important for both physical and mental health. Women should feel empowered to discuss safe sex practices with their partners and take responsibility for their own sexual health, including using contraception, getting tested for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), etc.

On this Women’s Equality Day, let’s pledge to break the chains of stereotypes and stigma around single women and their sexual health. By taking control of our sexuality, we can assert our autonomy, have peace of mind, and feel empowered in all aspects of our lives. Here’s to the incredible, brave women who are unafraid to live life on their terms!

Be sexy. Be safe. Be confident.
